Why can't I find opponents? I'm stuck in the clouds!

Why can't I find opponents? I'm stuck in the clouds! Whenever you search for opponents in Home Village, you will see "the clouds" as the game searches for an opponent. You can only be matched with villages that don't have a Shield or Guard active, and that are in the same Trophy range as yourself and that are of similar Town Hall level. If no villages in your trophy range and close to your Town Hall level have their Shields or Guards down, the game can't match you with those villages. This results in you getting "stuck in the clouds" for a while. You can get stuck even for a very long time, depending on how high up in Trophies you are, as you'll have less players who you can be matched up against. Although this is most times an issue for high-level players, game updates and in-game events can increase the wait-times in matchmaking for lower trophy ranges as well. As people are suddenly more active in Clash of Clans, more villages...

How do I donate Troops and Spells?

How do I donate Troops and Spells? When one of your clan members requests reinforcements, a message will pop up in your Clan Chat: After tapping on "Donate", you may choose which of your troops and spells you wish to send to your clan mate's Clan Castle: The troops will then be deducted from your camp, and travel to your Clan Mate's Castle. You will also gain experience points whenever you donate. Donating Spells becomes available at Clan Castle level 4 on Town Hall 8. If you see troops or spells greyed out , it means that this troops can't be donated because it won't fit into your clan mate's Clan Castle. If you see a troop's level indicator burning , it means that is is a max-level troop. The "Donate Now!" button allows you to donate troops with a cost of Gems. You don't have to have these troops trained, and even if you do the troops won't be deducted from your army. Remember : troops that defend your ...

Why can't I find a Clan War?

Why can't I find a Clan War? Clans are paired using a matchmaking algorithm. This ensures that Clans of similar strength are pitted against one another. Because so many players and factors come into play in matchmaking, Clan War matches take longer to find than matches in multiplayer or VS Battle attacks. If the matchmaking system has been searching for a while, it is best to leave it running in the background. You can still enjoy Clash of Clans in the meantime. Select the "Return Home" (1) icon in the bottom left corner of the matchmaking screen to return to your village without interrupting the matchmaking process. Note: pressing "Cancel" (2) in Clan Wars matchmaking will dismiss the search altogether. Once an opponent has been found, you will receive a notification on the Clan Wars icon. A 23-hour Preparation Day starts as soon as your match has been found.

Hero Skins

Hero Skins Hero Skins are unlocked by playing Season Challenges. Hero Skins are only available to those who have purchased the Gold Pass and gained enough points to unlock the reward. You gain points by completing Daily and Active Challenges, or by purchasing points for Gems (Gold Pass only). Once you claim a Hero Skin, you can switch to it by tapping on your Hero altar and tapping on the 'Change Skin' button. Select the skin you wish to use with the arrows and confirm your selection by pressing "Select". Other players can see your Hero Skin in live replays, regular replays as well as when scouting your village or war base. If a Hero Skin is not showing for other players, they have to wait a moment for it to appear as the skin visuals are downloaded in the background while the game is being played. You can only use skins that you have unlocked yourself through Season Challenges. Changing the Hero Skin for your Heroes does not trigger a lay...

Can I change my username?

Can I change my username? Every player can change their username for free once, to make sure you can enjoy your game with a handle that you like. This feature unlocks at Town Hall level 5. To change your name, open the in-game Settings window, then press "More Settings" and then the "Change name" button. Follow the on-screen instructions. Do not use special characters (like emoji) in your username, because these might not be visible after you confirm the change. So choose your name wisely! We reserve the right to change any inappropriate names at our own discretion, with no compensations. We do not change usernames upon request.

How does chat work in Supercell games?

How does chat work in Supercell games? Many of our players enjoy connecting with one another through in-game group chat. We work hard to ensure that those interactions are safe and secure. No Supercell game features private chat, and we regularly display warnings against releasing private information. We are always updating a "blacklist" of offensive words and phrases, so they can be quickly found and removed when necessary. If you see a player who is offensive in chat, you can use the automated reporting tool by tapping on the offending message and choosing "Report". To report an offensive player name go into the player's profile, tap on the tiny icon after their name and you will see the "Report" button. Using the Report button does not automatically end up in a ban for the reported user. However, every report is manually reviewed by our moderators and taken seriously. Due to the amount of reports we receive, it can take up to...

What is a 'maintenance break'?

What is a 'maintenance break'? If you try launching the game during a maintenance break, you will see the following message: This means that we're doing some necessary work under the bonnet to provide the best Clashing experience possible. Don't worry Chief, your village is not available for being raided during a maintenance break. You will be able to visit your village again once the maintenance break has ended.

What is a Clan War?

What is a Clan War? Clan Wars gives you and your Clan a chance to show the entire game community who rules the battlefields once and for all. A Clan War is a strategic battle between two Clans of roughly equal strength. Both clans need to have the same amount of participants selected for the Clan War line-up to be matched against eachother. For a player to fight in a war, the "Clan wars" button in his player profile must be green, indicating that he is available for Wars and the Leader must have chosen him for the lineup. There are two phases in a Clan War: 1) Preparation Day The Clan Leader or a Co-Leader initiates the search for a Clan War opponent. Once an opponent has been found, you and your Clan will have 23 hours to prepare for the battles ahead. During this time, you can make adjustments to the War Base layouts and donate and request troops. The Clan Castle in your War Base is different from the Clan Castle in your village, and...
